The history of A Future Made Of Ash
The Genesis (2004)
The origins of the project trace back to 2004. Forged in a rapid, intense burst of creativity, the very first demo was brought to life in a mere three weeks—encompassing the entire process from the initial songwriting to the final mix and mastering. However, after this sudden eruption of inspiration, the recordings slipped into the shadows and were eventually forgotten. The only place where you can get ahold of them now is Even.
The Reawakening & Evolution (2007)
Three years later, the beast was awakened once more. In 2007, the material was completely re-recorded and underwent a massive sonic transformation. With significantly lower guitar tunings, the music shifted away from its original Black Metal roots, descending much deeper into the heavy, crushing realms of Death Metal. This era was defined by the visceral vocal performance of Sven Hosan, contrasting beautifully with the haunting, operatic female vocals provided by Anissa Taggatz. Yet, despite this powerful rebirth, the project fell back into a long, deep slumber, followed by years of radio silence as other projects had priority.
Rising From The Ashes (2026)
Now, almost two decades later, the silence is finally broken. 2026 marks the definitive resurrection of the long-lost album. Leading the charge with a series of digital single releases on Spotify, the full album will officially drop on September 3rd via Bandcamp and Even. To complete the cycle, the digital onslaught will be followed shortly after by a highly anticipated physical release, manifesting the music on both CD and vinyl for the very first time.
